ROM IS STILL HERE
The Stonehenge of Skateparks
The world famous ROM pool. Small and tight but if Lance Mountain says he likes it thats good enough for us.
ROM is now in its 36th year. All skaters and BMXers have to visit. Do not miss the chance to visit the first skatepark in Europe to get listed status.
Welcome to the new Rom Skatepark website. The Rom celebrated its 35th birthday in 2013 and we invite everyone to come and carve the Original Concrete Skatepark.
ROM is one of the few groundbreaking 70's skateparks still holding its own. Many have come from wide and far to skate and ride The ROM. Bob Haro, Matt Hoffman, Tony Hawk, Lance Mountain and the Bones Brigade, Scott Maylon and even Jack Clark have ripped it up at Rom. Most come for the world famous Pool and the unbeatable never ending lines of the Moguls.
To see this 1970's skatepark still being used by some of the worlds best proves ROM Skatepark was built to last and has transcended the sports of Skateboarding and BMX.Rom was built in 1978 for the first skateboarders but the lines of the concrete (The Pool, Moguls, Performance Bowl, Snake Run, Four Leaf Clover, Concrete Halfpipe, Slalom Run and Freestyle Area) have stood the test of time as even today new lines can be found. Add to this a 7-foot wooden spine ramp a 4-foot wooden mini ramp and a 6-foot ramp indoors for when the sun aint shining, along with curved wall rides, jump box, flat banks, grind boxes and quarterpipes.
Come and carve at Rom Skatepark.Lets keep the ROM flame burning.
